Kuan-Yu Ko has worked as a Data Analyst at Merkle since May 2021. In this role, they build Marketing Mix Models (MMMs) to measure the impact of marketing activities and non-marketing factors, and provides recommendations for budget allocation. Kuan-Yu also develops and automates data mining processes and recommendation systems using platforms such as Google BigQuery and Snowflake.
Prior to that, Kuan-Yu worked as a Quantitative Research Intern at President Securities Corp. from June 2020 to August 2020. During this time, they designed an algorithm to construct an all-weather portfolio consisting of futures with impressive returns, Sharpe Ratio, and minimum year returns.
Before their corporate experience, Kuan-Yu served as a Teaching Assistant at National Taiwan University from February 2018 to June 2018. Kuan-Yu also worked as an Assistant at the same institution from November 2016 to June 2017.
Kuan-Yu Ko completed a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from National Taiwan University, where they studied from 2014 to 2018. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Statistics at Columbia University from 2019 to 2020. In August 2020, they also obtained a certification as a Futures Specialist from the Securities and Futures Institute in Taipei, Taiwan.
