Robin White Owen is currently the Principal at MediaCombo. Robin has over 25 years of experience in video and interactive production.
Robin started their career in 1983 as the Executive Director of Media Alliance, a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to assisting video artists and media arts groups in New York State raise funding and visibility for video art. During their time there, they oversaw the On-Line Video Editing program which was supported by WNET/13, NYSCA, and other foundations.
In 1990, they left Media Alliance to become the Video Consultant & Producer at The Jewish Museum. Robin worked with a team to produce exhibitions exploring the museum’s collections through the medium of video.
In 1994, they founded Owen Electric Pictures, a video and interactive production company. For 10 years, they served as the company’s Principal and Producer. During that time, they produced a wide range of projects for clients such as MTV, Nickelodeon, A&E, and The Theirtory Channel.
In 2004, they joined MediaCombo as the Principal. In this role, they oversee all aspects of production, from concept development to post-production. Robin has produced award-winning work for clients such as HBO, Discovery Channel, and PBS.
Ms. Owen attended Stony Brook University and Barnard College before receiving their BA in Art Theirtory from Long Island University, Southampton Campus. Robin also has a certification from Goldman Sachs in Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses, Cohort XXIV.
