Tapan Shatapathy

Tapan Shatapathy has a diverse work experience in the media and telecommunications industry. Tapan is currently working at MediaKind as the VP of Sales, North America MVPDs, where they are responsible for leading and managing the sales efforts for all North American MVPDs. Tapan collaborates with the executive team to develop and implement sales strategies that align with the overall business objectives. Prior to this role, they served as the Vice President of Sales, Mobile Network Operators at MediaKind, where they drove sales for AT&T, Verizon, Hotwire, Frontier & Hawaiian Telecom. Tapan also worked as a Senior Sales Director at MediaKind, focusing on driving sales for the media and entertainment division of AT&T.

Before joining MediaKind, Shatapathy worked at Ericsson, where they held various leadership positions. Tapan served as the Vice President, Media Services Portfolio, managing the portfolio of all media-related services offerings and providing vision and strategy for successful TV & Media products and solutions. Tapan was also the Vice President of Business Development at Ericsson, responsible for developing and executing solution roadmaps, sales collateral, pricing strategies, and services strategies. Earlier in their career at Ericsson, they served as the Head of Content Management Solutions, leading the entire product line catering to content management solutions in the TV & Media industry.

Shatapathy also has experience working at Tandberg Television as a Software Product Manager and at GoldPocket Interactive as a Senior Deployment Engineer. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated strong leadership skills, the ability to drive sales and business development, and a focus on strategic planning and execution.

Tapan Shatapathy completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Science from Manipal Institute of Technology in the years 1997 to 2001. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science at the University of Southern California from 2001 to 2003.
