Vinayak Das

Vinayak Das has worked in various roles in the software engineering and data science fields since 1996. Vinayak started their career at Texas Instruments as a Software Design Engineer. In 2000, they took on the role of CTO at Global Knowledge Portals. In 2001, they joined Ittiam Systems as a Principal Engineer, where they worked on embedded software for audio, video, media streaming, and video communications. In 2010, they took on two roles: Chief Engineer of the Linux Android Platform Group at Samsung India Software Operations, and Co-Founder of Photo Tantra, a media company based in New Delhi. Most recently, in 2021, they joined MediaMelon, Inc. as Head of Data Science and Machine Learning, and Technical Program Manager, where they were responsible for engineering management for India-based development teams, development of the core Machine Learning module, customer success management, program management for key customer projects, and hands-on development on C++, iOS (Swift, Objective C), Javascript, React, Roku Brightscript, and Java.

Vinayak Das obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University between 1992 and 1996.
