Alicia Weaver has extensive experience in media activation and buying roles. Alicia started their career in 2004 as a Spot Buying Assistant at SpotPlus and then worked as a National Buying Assistant at OMD USA from 2005 to 2006. Alicia was promoted to a National Buyer role from 2006 to 2007 and later became a National Buying Supervisor from 2007 to 2008 at the same company. Alicia then joined Initiative in 2008 as a National Activation Supervisor until 2009. Alicia joined ID Media in 2010 as a Buying Supervisor and steadily climbed the ranks, becoming an Associate Media Buying Director in 2012, a Media Buying Director in 2015, and finally a Media Strategy Director from 2018 to 2019. Since 2019, Alicia has been with Mediassociates, where they have held various vice president roles, including Executive Director of Offline Activation from 2019 to 2021, Vice President of Offline Activation from 2021, and currently as Vice President of Media Activation.
Alicia Weaver attended Southern Methodist University from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Advertising. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including "The Trade Desk Edge Academy Certified: Data-Driven Planning," "The Trade Desk Edge Academy Certified: Marketing Foundations," and "The Trade Desk Edge Academy Certified: Executive Program," all from The Trade Desk. Alicia also completed the "Leading at a Distance" certification from LinkedIn in February 2021, as well as certifications in "Embracing Unexpected Change," "Impromptu Speaking," and "Bill George on Self-Awareness, Authenticity, and Leadership" from LinkedIn in January and December 2020. In 2019, they completed the "Blueprint Manager Training" from IPG Mediabrands. Furthermore, they obtained certifications in various leadership and communication skills from Lynda.com in August and July 2016, including "Business Storytelling with C.C. Chapman," "Having Difficult Conversations," "Leading with Emotional Intelligence," "Stepping Up to Leadership," "Thinking Like a Leader," and "Building High-Performance Teams."
