Dana Hinojosa has held various roles throughout their work experience. Dana began their career as a Program Assistant at Westmont in Istanbul in 2012. Dana then moved on to Pepperdine University, where they held several positions including Program Coordinator, Program Manager, and Assistant Director in the Nootbaar Institute on Law, Religion, and Ethics & Global Justice Program from 2012 to 2017. In 2017, they joined the University of California, Davis as an Associate Ombuds, eventually becoming the Interim Director of the Ombuds Office from 2019 to 2019. Currently, they are the Director of Strategic Engagement at MWI, starting in 2023.
Dana Hinojosa has a Master of Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University School of Law, Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communications from Westmont College. In terms of additional certifications, Dana is a CO-OP (Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioner) from the International Ombudsman Association, obtained in May 2023. Dana also has a certification in Social Justice Mediation from the Social Justice Mediation Institute obtained in May 2021. Additionally, they are a People Skills Behavior Style Assessment Instructor from The Effectiveness Institute, obtained in June 2017. Earlier, in August 2016, they became a Facilitator through the Alternatives to Violence Project. Lastly, in March 2015, Dana became a Relationship IQ Instructor from Pepperdine University, Boone Center for the Family.
