Vernon D’souza

Vernon D'Souza has extensive experience in the field of cybersecurity. Vernon is currently serving as the Head of Information Security & Privacy at MediaValet Inc. since July 2019. Prior to this, they held the position of Managing Partner at Forecight Cybersecurity™ from November 2018. At Forecight Cybersecurity™, they also worked as a Senior Cyber Security Advisor from October 2018 to November 2019.

From June 2020 to May 2022, D'Souza worked as a Senior Cyber Security Specialist at lululemon. In this role, they supported security best practices, performed security architecture reviews, and assessed project risks. Vernon also collaborated with various departments to address security concerns.

Before joining lululemon, D'Souza worked as a Senior Cyber Security Analyst (Contractor) at Nutrien from October 2018 to May 2019. Nutrien is a Canadian fertilizer company with a large workforce and retail stores.

From 2013 to 2018, D'Souza was associated with CyberClan, where they served as a Senior Cyber Security Advisor from February 2015 to October 2018 and as a Senior IT Security Manager from July 2013 to February 2015.

In between their tenure at CyberClan, D'Souza worked at DFC Global Corp. as a Cyber Security Architect from January 2018 to August 2018. Prior to this role, they held the position of IT Security Engineer at the same company from February 2015 to January 2018.

Earlier in their career, D'Souza worked as a Security Consultant at GLI UK Gaming Ltd from April 2012 to July 2017. GLI is a regulatory compliance testing and security auditing company catering to the gambling industry.

D'Souza started their career at Parsons in August 2011 as an IT Support Specialist. Parsons is an engineering, construction, and management services firm. Vernon worked there until July 2013.

Their first role in the cybersecurity field was as an IT Security Analyst at CyberClan from January 2008 to August 2011.

Vernon D’souza pursued an MSc in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London, from 2021 to 2025. Alongside their formal education, Vernon obtained a Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) certification from ISACA in September 2015. In addition, they acquired a Certificate of Assessor Accreditation from Trusted Partner Network in July 2018. In June 2023, Vernon obtained two certifications, namely "Automating Third Party Risk Management with SecurityScorecard" and "Third Party Risk Management," both from SecurityScorecard.
