Jim Harr has worked in a variety of roles in the medical device and engineering industries since 1997. Jim started their career at Coin Acceptors, where they served as an Engineering Manager and was responsible for managing a cross-functional group of engineers. In 2001, they joined Covidien (Medtronic Minimally Invasive Therapies Group) as Global VP of R&D/R&D Director/R&D Manager, where they were responsible for product development and sustaining efforts for 21 different global product portfolios with over 2.1 billion dollars in annual revenue. In 2015, they moved to Medtronic as Global Vice President of Research and Development, where they were responsible for Research and Development, Program Management and the Global Engineering Services organizations for the Patient Monitoring and Recovery Global Business Unit. In 2017, they joined Cardinal Health as Global VP of Product Development, where they were responsible for all product development and support activities for Cardinal Health's Medical Device GBU. In 2018, they joined Strategic Innovation Consulting LLC as Principal. Most recently, in 2020, they joined MediBeacon Inc. as Vice President of Research and Development.
Jim Harr earned a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia between 1992 and 1994. During their studies, they focused on CAD/FEA, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Machine Design, Physics, and Fluid Dynamics.
