Christine Were

Christine Akinyi Were is currently a Program Manager at Medic team in Nairobi, Kenya and has progressively risen to the role since 2016 when she joined as an intern. Christine has over five years experience in research and program management specializing in bridging the gap between community priorities and needs with the innovative tools and solutions hosted within the Community Health Toolkit.

Miss Christine is a champion of digital inclusion within the Community Health Systems space and is a key advocate of listening and merging the voices of frontline health workers to specific tools and resources we have developed to help improve community health outcomes.She has a Bachelors of Arts in Social Sciences degree from the University of Nairobi and is currently completing her MSc PM, PMP and PMI certifications.

Miss Christine has previously worked with national and regional projects at Transparency International Kenya, Kenya Water and Sanitation Network, EU funded projects at Christian Aid among other projects and partnerships. She has found a home within the dynamic and talented team at Medic where she continues to build her skills and competence even as she contributes to the overall mission and purpose of Medic.
