Nitin Nischal Bhandari

Program Head, Nepal at Medic Mobile

Nitin is a public health physician and is currently working as a Deployment Manager for Medic's Asia region office. Nitin was always interested in public health but it was only during his clinical rotations as a medical student that he realized the importance of preventive medicine. This realization motivated him to shift his career plan from clinical medicine to public health.

He holds a MD in community medicine from Kathmandu Medical College and Teaching hospital, and an MSc in International Health Policy from London School of Economics and Political Science. Nitin is a Chevening scholar, charter president of Rotaract club of Kathmandu Medical College, and has initiated various social clubs and platforms. He loves to travel, go on road-trips, hike to the mountains, experiment with cooking, and play musical instruments. In the context of low-income countries that have disparities in health service delivery, he believes that ehealth should be the priority for investment to attain a strengthened health system.
