Emily Howman

Emily Howman is an experienced medical strategy professional currently serving as a Focus Area Working Group member in Medical Strategy & Launch Excellence at the Medical Affairs Professional Society (MAPS) since February 2021. Prior to this role, Emily held multiple strategic positions at Envision Pharma Group from February 2020 to September 2024, including Executive Vice President of Scientific Strategy and Senior Medical Strategy Lead. Emily was the Head of Scientific Services at Bedrock Healthcare Communications from February 2019 to February 2020 and served as Scientific Director at KnowledgePoint360 Group from November 2002 to February 2012. Earlier in Emily's career, a Post-doctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Oxford involved research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Emily holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medicine from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science in Hematology and Cytogenetics from the University of Otago.
