Filip Kostal

Filip Kostal is the Startup Principal at Medical Alley Association. Filip has extensive experience in corporate governance, financial and strategic planning, and has a keen understanding of complex EU regulations.

Prior to joining Medical Alley Association, Filip was a Senior Strategic Capital Management Specialist at Česká spořitelna, the largest Czech bank. Filip was in charge of recovery planning and was responsible for creating and resolution planning documents and analyses that were lauded by the parent bank, as well as the regulators. Filip also monitored and analyzed impacts of regulatory changes and worked on optimizing the capital structure of the bank.

Before Česká spořitelna, Filip was the Lead Business and Financial Analyst at Keiretsu Forum where they advised and mentored tech businesses, mostly in the areas of corporate governance and financial and strategic planning. Filip also consulted tech businesses on their business systems and operations, negotiated financing deals and performed financial and legal due diligence. In addition, Filip developed and implemented the company’s internal processes.

Earlier in their career, Filip worked as a Legal Department / Paralegal at Rockaway and as a Legal Intern at NN Investment Partners.

Filip has a deep understanding of the inner workings of businesses, an ability to navigate complex regulations, and a proven track record in developing and implementing successful strategies. Filip is an invaluable asset to Medical Alley Association and its members.

Filip Kostal completed a Master's degree in Law at Charles University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science at Prague University of Economics and Business.
