Guillermo Garcia is an experienced public health professional, currently serving as the Deputy Director for International Programs at MCD Global Health since October 2016, where strategic direction for international health projects is emphasized. With a strong background in malaria control initiatives through roles such as Senior Program Manager and Program Manager for the Bioko Island Malaria Elimination Project, Guillermo has successfully managed large teams and budgets while securing significant funding. Previous positions include Associate Program Manager and GIS and Operations Officer, where foundational skills in public health and project management were developed. Guillermo holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, an Executive MBA in Strategic Leadership, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Middlebury College.
