Brian Cowperthwaite

Brian Cowperthwaite currently serves as the Vice President of Facilities and Operations at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where strategic leadership is provided for research, clinical care, education, and community across nearly 50 acres and 2 million square feet. Previously, Brian held the position of Senior Director of Facility Services Operations and Maintenance at the University of Chicago, managing operations for 135 buildings, while also overseeing budget and capital planning. Prior experience includes leadership roles at GE Renewable Energy and extensive service in the US Marine Corps, where responsibilities spanned supply chain management and logistics for a large military base. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Washington and a Master of Science in Administration with a focus on Public Administration from Central Michigan University.
