Cynthia Lien

Cynthia Lien is a highly experienced medical professional currently serving as the Professor and Chair of Anesthesiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin since November 2016. Previously, Lien held the position of Anesthesiologist at Weill Cornell Medical College from 1989 to October 2016, where responsibilities included Vice Chair for Academic Affairs and Residency Program Director. Early in Lien's career, a residency in Anesthesiology was completed at Columbia University in the City of New York from 1986 to 1989. Lien earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons (1981-1985) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biochemistry from Brown University (1976-1980).
