Paul W. Griepentrog, JD, CPA, currently serves as a shareholder in the Milwaukee office of Godfrey & Kahn, where he practices corporate law with a concentration on mergers and acquisitions, general corporate matters and tax-related planning for a variety of business transactions.

Mr. Griepentrog represents private equity funds and publicly-traded companies, along with entrepreneurs starting new ventures and long-standing family-owned businesses. His experience ranges from assisting publicly-traded businesses with merger transactions, to assisting private equity groups with portfolio acquisitions and dispositions, to assisting a family-owned business with the transition of ownership from one generation to the next. The industries within which Mr. Griepentrog’s clients operate include heavy industrial manufacturing and distribution, IT management, staffing and professional services, food distribution, real estate development, supplemental educational materials and retail sales of consumer goods.

Mr. Griepentrog is a CPA and was formerly a tax specialist at Ernst & Young. He was named among The Best Lawyers in America for Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions in 2013 - 2014 and a Wisconsin Rising Star among lawyers in 2011.

Mr. Griepentrog sits on the boards of the MACC Fund and the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts (where he also serves on their governance committee).

He received his BBA in accounting from Marquette University and his JD from Marquette University Law School. He lives in Brookfield with his wife, teenage daughter and two pre-teen sons.
