Alexa Fotheringham has extensive experience in the field of medical education and assessment, currently serving as the Manager of Partnerships & Projects at the Medical Council of Canada since October 2010. In this role, Alexa oversees stakeholder outreach, research activities, and the Learning & Training function across assessment products, providing leadership to program managers and the medical advisory team. Previous positions include management of the National Assessment Collaboration (NAC) Examination and the Department of Medical Education, focusing on national examination development and delivery for postgraduate medical training. Prior experience includes serving as a Standardized Patient Educator at Dalhousie University. Alexa holds a Master of Architecture from Dalhousie University, a Master of Education in Curriculum Studies from Mount Saint Vincent University, a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from Dalhousie University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Communication from McGill University.
