Gabriel de Paz, CHCIO, CDH-E, currently serves as the Chief Information Officer and Senior Consultant at Medical Facilities Corporation since June 2021. Previously, Gabriel held significant roles at 21st Century Oncology, advancing from Director of Financial Applications to Vice President of Business Systems, and ultimately serving as Chief Information Officer, where leadership in information technology and security was prominent. Gabriel contributed as a Board Member for the Southwest Florida Regional Technology Partnership from 2013 to 2018, promoting technology development in the region. Early career experiences included a role as Director of Development at Medical Manager Health Systems, leading the creation of key practice management systems, and serving as a System Engineer at Lockheed Martin. Medical Facilities Corporation is a Canada-based company, which owns interests in over six entities (the Centers), approximately five of which either own a specialty surgical hospital (SSH) or an ambulatory surgery center (ASC). The Company's Centers offer facilities, such as staff, surgical materials and supplies, and other support necessary for scheduled surgical, pain management, imaging and diagnostic procedures. The Centers focus on clinical specialties, such as orthopedic, neurosurgery, pain management and other non-emergency elective procedures. Its SSHs are located in South Dakota, Oklahoma and Arkansas, and ASC is located in California. ASCs are specialized surgical centers that provide outpatient procedures, and SSHs offer inpatient and outpatient surgeries. In addition, over three of the SSHs provide primary and urgent care to their communities. It has operations through its subsidiaries, including Medical Facilities America, Inc. and Medical Facilities (USA) Holdings, Inc.
