Gail Askew

Gail Askew FAAFP has a comprehensive work experience spanning several medical organizations. Gail currently serves as the Assistant Medical Director at Medical Mutual since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Kettering Physician Network as a full-time Family Medicine Physician from May 2005 to December 2020, where they achieved Patient Centered Medical Home certification and was recognized as a PCMH and CPC+ Champion.

Gail also worked at Anthem, Inc. as the Medical Director for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield from April 1997 to July 2020. In this position, they reviewed utilization cases, collaborated with hospital-based utilization nurses, communicated with community physicians about hospital cases, and assisted the Anthem Senior Advantage Nurse Case Managers with the Medicare+Choice program.
