Veena S.

Veena S. has a strong background in quality management and compliance in the healthcare industry. Veena began their career at Cathay Pacific Airways as a Flight Purser and worked there for nearly a decade. In 2007, they transitioned to the healthcare field and joined Cleveland Clinic as a DRG Assurance Coordinator. Veena quickly advanced to become a Clinical Decision Analyst and then a Program Manager, where they were responsible for data analysis and reporting of financial and nursing quality metrics. In 2012, they became the Assistant Director of Quality, leading hospital safety and regulatory practices and spearheading quality improvement efforts. In 2014, Veena was promoted to Director Quality Management, overseeing key projects and ensuring the highest level of patient care. Veena recently joined Medical Mutual as the Director of Health Plan Compliance and Accreditation, where they continue to utilize their expertise in managing compliance and driving quality improvement.

Veena S. began their education journey in 1992 at Mangalore University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) until 1996. In 2005, they attended the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) to further their expertise in the field of Health/Health Care Administration/Management, earning a degree as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) in 2022.

In 2006, Veena enrolled at the SUNY Polytechnic Institute for a Master's in Health/Health Care Administration/Management (MHA), completing their studies in 2007. Currently, they are pursuing a Master's in Jurisprudence with a specialization in Health Law at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, which they began in an unspecified year and expects to complete in 2023.
