Marmar Nekoro currently serves as an investigator for veterinary medicines and a project leader for medicines in use at Läkemedelsverket since August 2019, focusing on building the Knowledge Center for Pharmaceuticals in the Environment and engaging with stakeholders to mitigate the impact of pharmaceutical residues in the environment. In addition, Marmar is an affiliated researcher at Uppsala University in the Pharmacoepidemiology research group and has contributed as a scientific reviewer for the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Previous experience includes project management and communications roles in several organizations, such as the Sustainable Seas Foundation, Stockholm University, and the Stockholm Resilience Centre, with a strong emphasis on sustainable development and marine ecosystem management. Marmar holds a Master’s degree in Biology from Stockholm University and has participated in various leadership and communication training programs.
