Amil Agarwal

Amil Agarwal is a dedicated medical student at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, currently serving as President of the Medical Student Orthopedic Society and co-leading the Orthopedic Surgery Interest Group. With a focus on integrating medical students into the orthopedic profession, Amil has organized various events, including research opportunities and talks from orthopedic surgeons. Experience includes conducting research on SNPs at Children's National Hospital as a Health Service Scholar and assisting with data collection on smoking status and Hidradenitis Suppurativa as a Research Intern. Earlier roles include working as a medical scribe at Metro Orthopedics & Sports Therapy and multiple summer internships at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, focusing on the purification and crystallization of Plasmodium yoelli. Amil holds a Doctor of Medicine degree expected in 2023 and previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The George Washington University.
