Aicko Yves Schumann

Aicko Yves Schumann, Dr. rer. nat., serves as a Research Assistant Professor and Center Statistician at the Medical University of South Carolina, where Aicko Yves leads the Data Analytics & Statistics Unit at the Institute of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science and contributes to research groups focused on sleep, anxiety, olfactory function, and PTSD. Schumann's research interests encompass brain dynamics, machine learning, and complex networks, among others. In addition to current roles, Aicko has held academic positions as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics & Statistics at the College of Charleston and as an Adjunct Professor of Physics at The Citadel. Aicko's extensive experience includes postdoctoral research and scientific consulting, with a strong background in data analysis and computational neuroscience, supported by a robust academic foundation that includes a Ph.D. in Statistical Physics.
