Dorin Diaconescu

Dorin Diaconescu is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and project management, currently serving as Director of Cloud, Mobile, and Neuroscience at Abbott since May 2021, where responsibilities include leadership within the Global Engineering Executive Council and managing R&D Cloud and Software operations. Prior to Abbott, Dorin held multiple senior roles at Sandvine, including R&D Site Lead and AVP in Analytics and Cloud, overseeing significant product development initiatives. Earlier experience includes various leadership and engineering positions at Motorola Mobility, where Dorin led teams across the US and China and contributed to major software solutions for mobile devices. Dorin began the professional journey at Gemmar Systems International and has a solid educational foundation, holding multiple certifications and degrees in project management and computer science from prestigious institutions including The George Washington University and Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași.
