David Louder

Chief, MUSC Health Alliance at Medical University of South Carolina

David Louder has extensive experience in various healthcare organizations and roles. David started their career in the US Air Force, where they served as the Director of Health Care Operations for over two decades. Following their military service, they worked at the University of Maryland School of Medicine as an Associate Professor. Later, they joined Carroll Hospital Center as the Vice President of Physician Partnerships, a position they held for five years. Currently, they are the Chief of MUSC Health Alliance at the Medical University of South Carolina.

David Louder completed high school at Spring Valley HS from 1979 to 1981. David then attended the University of Virginia from 1981 to 1985 and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Physics with a minor in Religious Studies. David went on to study at the University of Virginia School of Medicine from 1985 to 1989 and obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. David further pursued their education at the Isenberg School of Management, UMass Amherst from 2011 to 2014, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Additionally, David obtained certifications as a Physician Executive from the American Association for Physician Leadership in 2007 and in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine from the American Board of Pediatrics in 1995.
