Jayce Doose

Jayce Doose is an accomplished Engineering Director and Research Scientist at the Medical University of South Carolina, leading the $12M DARPA RECOVERS project aimed at understanding advanced neural circuits and developing treatments for depression and suicide. With a comprehensive background in biomedical systems engineering, Jayce has held various key positions, including Senior Biomedical Systems Engineer responsible for the Neuroimaging Core at the Stroke Recovery Research Center and Technical Manager for the Center for Biomedical Imaging. Jayce has contributed significantly to multiple high-profile research studies, leveraging expertise in advanced imaging technologies such as fNIRS, EEG, MRI, and TMS. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Health and Rehabilitation Science from the Medical University of South Carolina and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University, supplemented by extensive practical experience in engineering and counseling.
