Director Of Health Coaching & Wellbeing Programs at Medical University of South Carolina

Kaitlin DaPore has extensive experience in the field of health coaching and wellness. Kaitlin currently serves as the Director of Health Coaching & Wellbeing Programs at the Medical University of South Carolina, where they oversee a program focused on facilitating long-term lifestyle changes for improved patient outcomes.

Prior to their current role, Kaitlin worked as a Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach at their own practice, Kaitlin F. DaPore Health & Wellness Coaching. In this role, they applied evidence-based coaching and motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients in various areas of wellbeing, including nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, and chronic condition management.

Kaitlin also holds leadership positions in various organizations that promote coaching and wellbeing. Kaitlin is a member of the South Carolina Healthy Business Challenge's Leadership Team and is a member of both the Institute of Coaching, McLean/Harvard Medical School and Wellcoaches. Additionally, they are a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and the American College of Sports Medicine.

Outside of their work in healthcare, Kaitlin has also been actively involved in community organizations. Kaitlin serves on the Board of Directors for The Green Heart Project, a non-profit organization that builds school garden programs in the Charleston area. Kaitlin has also previously worked with Camp Rise Above as a Program Development Coordinator and served as the Program Director for The Green Heart Project, where they connected students to food, health, and the environment through school garden programs.

Kaitlin DaPore, NBC-HWC has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Government from the College of Charleston. Kaitlin also holds an Executive MHA - Master of Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina. In addition to their degrees, they have multiple certifications in health and wellness coaching, including Health & Wellness Coach from NBME, Nationally Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach from the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching, Health & Wellness Coaching Certificate from Emory Continuing Education, Certified Health Coach from Emory University, and an IIN Health Coach Certificate from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
