Staci Gouveia

Staci Gouveia, APR, currently serves as the Senior Executive Director of Communications at the Medical University of South Carolina since April 2024. Prior to this role, Staci was the Head of Corporate Communications & PR at Afaxys, Inc., where responsibilities included overseeing internal and external communications, media, and investor relations for a women’s healthcare company, while directly advising the CEO and C-suite colleagues. Staci's experience also includes a position as Senior Director of Global Commercial & Internal Communications at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and various roles within Bayer, including Communications Director for Bayer HealthCare U.S. Animal Health and Deputy Director of Global Communications for Bayer Healthcare Diabetes Care. Staci's career began at Ketchum as a Senior Account Executive, with a track record of successful campaigns for multinational healthcare clients. Staci holds a Master of Arts in Communication Arts from the New York Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies from Stony Brook University.
