Gina Thompson

Gina Thompson, MHA has a diverse work experience background. Gina started as a Conference Services Associate at the University of Virginia in 2012 and transitioned to a Library Assistant role for the Chemistry and Mathematics Department. In 2013, they worked as a Sales Floor Leader at Hallmark Cards before moving on to Duke University Hospital as a Business Operations & Administrative Assistant. Gina continued to gain experience in healthcare operations at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, Novant Health, and UNC Health. At the Mayo Clinic, they worked as a Senior Business Analyst and then as an Interim Operations Manager. Currently, they are employed at Medically Home, first as a Senior Operations Specialist and now as the Director of Operations for the Yale New Haven Health Home Hospital. Throughout their career, Gina has gained expertise in strategy analysis, process improvement, project management, and healthcare operations.

Gina Thompson, MHA, completed their Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia in 2016. Gina went on to obtain a Master of Healthcare Administration with a focus on Health Policy & Management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2019.
