Pippa Shulman

Dr. Pippa Shulman is the Chief Medical Officer at Medically Home. Pippa has over thirteen years of experience as a physician, innovator, and healthcare executive.

Dr. Shulman began their career as a Team Physician at Seasons Hospice, where they provided care for terminally ill patients and their families. Pippa then spent four years as a Physician at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, an organization that provides primary care and specialty services to patients in the Greater Boston area. During their time at Harvard Vanguard, Dr. Shulman also served as a Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School.

In 2015, Dr. Shulman joined Atrius Health as the Senior Chief Innovation Engineer. In this role, they led the development and launch of Care in Place, a same day home based urgent care program. This program saved Atrius Health over $1m in avoidable hospital and ED expense. Building on that work, Dr. Shulman led the development and launch of Medically Home, a home hospital program for Atrius Health.

In January 2017, Dr. Shulman transitioned to Atrius Health's Entrepreneur In Residence program. In this role, they worked with Atrius Health's executive team to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies for new ventures.

Dr. Shulman has a passion for improving healthcare delivery and making it more accessible and affordable for everyone. Pippa is a strong advocate for the use of technology in healthcare and has been recognized as a leader in healthcare innovation.

Pippa Shulman has a MPH from Dartmouth College in Public Health and Quality Improvement, a DO from University of New England in Osteopathic Medicine, and a BA from Smith College in Biology. Pippa is also certified from The American Board of Family Medicine in Family Medicine, AMERICAN ACADEMY OF HOSPICE & PALLIATIVE MEDICINE INC in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and the American Board of Preventive Medicine in Preventive Medicine.

They are on a team with David Henderson - CFO, Pete Carlson - Chief of Paramedicine, and Evan Berg - Chief of Emergency Medicine. Pippa Shulman reports to Rami Karjian, CEO.
