Edward Boyle has extensive work experience in the banking and payments industry. Edward currently serves as the CEO of Medici Bank since 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Fidor Bank as the Managing Director from 2016 to 2018, where they focused on negotiating digital bank technology deals and concluded that independent digital banks are the way forward. Before that, they were the CEO of Blade Payments, which was later acquired by Medici Bank, from 2014 to 2016. Edward also served as the President of Point Payments, a startup that enabled virtual currencies for online and point-of-sale payments, from 2011 to 2013. Edward has experience working at American Express in various roles, including VP & GM of Prepaid Cards, where they launched and led the Prepaid Card business. Additionally, they have experience in eMarketplaces as VP & GM and achieved profitable growth within a year. Edward received recognition for their work, including the Chairman's Award for Quality and a couple of patents.
Edward Boyle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from Dartmouth College. Edward also pursued Business Administration and Management studies at Università Bocconi. In addition, they completed an MBA program with a focus on Finance and International Business at NYU Stern School of Business.
