Martin Buchert is an accomplished Geographic Information Systems (GIS) professional with extensive experience in managing GIS projects and teams. Currently serving as the Geographic Information Systems Manager at Medici Land Governance Inc., Martin oversees drone aerial surveys and GIS data production for land titling campaigns in the Global South. As the owner of Hippodameian Enterprises, Martin provides consulting services in GIS analysis with a focus on conservation planning, habitat mapping, and ecosystem services. In addition, Martin holds the position of Assistant Adjunct Professor at the University of Utah's Department of City and Metropolitan Planning, teaching GIS for urban planners. Prior roles include senior research analyst positions at Patagon Ventures and the University of Utah Global Change and Sustainability Center, as well as a GIS specialist role at H.W. Lochner.
