Emma V. Jones

Emma V. Jones has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Emma V. worked as a Lead Scientist (in vitro) Neurobiology at Medicines Discovery Catapult since April 2023 and previously held the position of Senior Scientist- Neurobiology from September 2019 to April 2023. Before that, they worked at Centre universitaire de santé McGill et IR-CUSM | McGill University Health Centre and RI-MUHC, where they served as a Project Manager for CQDM 'Focus on Brain' project from August 2015 to July 2019. Emma V. also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate from April 2011 to July 2015 and as a Postdoctoral Fellow from June 2006 to March 2011 in the same organization. Additionally, Emma served as an Academic Editor at Neural Plasticity for a special issue titled "Glia and the Synapse: Plasticity and Disease" in 2013-2014. Emma V. volunteered at Thyroid Cancer Canada as the Co-Chair of the Low Iodine Diet Awareness Project in 2013-2014. Emma's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Molecular Cell Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Manchester, which they completed from September 2002 to March 2006, focusing on the regulation of stress-activated protein kinase pathways.

From 2002 to 2006, Emma V. Jones pursued their education at The University of Manchester. During this period, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the field of Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology.
