Currently volunteering as an emergency medical technician with Kenya Red Cross since January 2022, Halima also works in health records and information technology at MEDIHEAL GROUP OF HOSPITALS. Previous experience as a medical interpreter for Propio Language Services involved translating Somali to English to facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare providers. Halima holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management from Kenyatta University and has completed various certifications, including a HIPAA certificate in Data Security from Proprofs Academy and a leadership program at Harvard Business School. Additionally, Halima has proficiency in English linguistics demonstrated through an EF Standards English test.
