Candace Edwards, MBA, SPHR has had a diverse range of work experience in the human resources field. Candace is currently working at MEDIKO as the Human Resources Director. Prior to that, they spent over 12 years at T-Mobile, where they held the positions of Sr Manager, HR Practice Expert and Sr Manager, HR Business Partner. Before T-Mobile, Candace worked as an HR Manager at SunCom Wireless for almost a decade. Candace began their career at Target Stores, Inc. as an HR Team Relations Leader. Overall, Candace has over 20 years of experience in HR leadership and has a wealth of knowledge in various areas of human resources.

Candace Edwards, MBA, SPHR, obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from James Madison University from 1991 to 1995. Candace then pursued further education and earned their Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix from 2011 to 2015. In 2015, Candace joined the Business of Human Resources Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

In addition to their academic achievements, Candace has also obtained various certifications throughout their career. Candace received the Senior Certified Practitioner (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM in January 2015. In January 2014, they earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI. Prior to that, in May 2002, they obtained the Professional in Human Resources certification from the same institution. Candace also completed the Coaching for HR Professionals program at the Center for Creative Leadership in November 2006 and earned the Organization Design Fundamentals Certification from Kates Kesler Organization Consulting in 2020.
