Frank Bunton

VP CISO Chief Information Security Officer at MedImpact

Frank Bunton has over 20 years of management and technology development experience at MedImpact Healthcare Systems, where they currently serve as the VP, CISO (Chief Information Security Officer). Frank has also worked as the Director - Technology at MedImpact from 1997 to 2010. Prior to joining MedImpact, Frank was a Principle Architect at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories, where they contributed to the development of automated x-ray inspection robots. Frank was also the founder, President, and General Manager of Telenetics Engineering Services, where they developed the RT-DAS SCADA Automated Control System. Frank began their career as a Systems Software Engineer at NCR Corporation, where they worked on projects related to VRX and UNIX operating system platforms.

Frank Bunton attended the University of Montana from 1976 to 1981, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Experimental Psychology. Frank then went on to complete various certification courses and exams at SkillSets OnLine, including becoming a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) in 2015, a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) in 2016, a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) in 2015, a Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) in 2017, a Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) in 2016, a Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) in 2018, and an Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP) in 2017. Additionally, they obtained a Network+ certification from Coleman College in 2007 and a Java Programming certification from UC San Diego in 2001.
