Gary Jones

Gary Jones has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Gary started their career as a journalist, publisher, and researcher, working for various magazines and newspapers. Gary then ventured into the technology industry, working as a product director and co-founder at Making Markets Ltd, where they helped develop an editorial portal and an e-commerce website for the IT reseller community. Gary later co-founded Quartez Ltd, where they managed the development of SMS products for FMCG and B2B customers. The company received recognition for its business SMS practices and was eventually acquired by The Trinity Mirror Group.

In 2002, Gary joined Mobile Data as a mobile and wireless product consultant before becoming the CEO of Mobix Ltd, a conferencing business focused on audio-conferencing products. Gary oversaw the full product life cycle, including services for the Blackberry device and partnership with Novell Inc. Gary then worked as an interim product management consultant at Product & Project Management, where they provided agile-based product management services for various clients.

Gary's next prominent role was at Omnifone, a global B2B cloud music platform provider. During their time as a senior B2C product manager, they managed customer and partner relationships, from licensing and content management to platform integration and support. Gary also contributed to business development efforts, ensuring successful contracts and partnerships with well-known companies in the music industry.

In 2016, Gary co-founded UniMedia Limited, a boutique B2B digital music streaming service hosted on the AWS cloud. Gary played a significant role in developing the platform, defining use cases, researching revenue streams, and managing pre-launch partnerships. Additionally, Gary handled financial forecasting, pricing modeling, and documentation for tax credit applications. Gary successfully brought in a six-figure revenue stream before raising a substantial sum of SEIS investment.

Most recently, Gary holds the position of CEO and co-founder at MediMusic, starting in November 2019. With their entrepreneurial mindset and experience in the music industry, they continue to shape the company and lead it towards success.

Gary Jones attended the University of the Arts London from 1989 to 1990, where they obtained a Distinction in Periodical Journalism.
