Dave Rutledge

Dave Rutledge is an experienced creative leader with a diverse background in digital content and community building. As Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer at Mercatalyst since September 2013, Rutledge drives innovation in creative strategies. Founded GeekLife in December 1998 as a precursor to modern blogging, Rutledge established a strong online following through a commitment to original daily content. Prior to these roles, Rutledge served as President of Woot Workshop, LLC from 2009 to 2013, overseeing creative branding and content development, and held key positions at Woot, Inc. and Asynchrony Solutions as Creative Director. Additionally, Rutledge was the founder and SysOp of Land Of Spam from 1990 to 1993, managing a community bulletin board known for its open access and light moderation.
