Anna Fialho Byers

Anna Fialho Byers has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles in various companies. Anna is currently working as the Director of Strategic Content + Collaborative Challenger at Medium Giant (formerly Belo + Company) since February 2021. In this role, they oversee content fulfillment for agency clients and advertising-driven content for The Dallas Morning News owned media properties. Anna also collaborates with various teams such as content strategy, SEO, UX, creative, web development, and account services.

Before their current position, Anna worked as a Freelance Writer/Editor for various publications starting in May 2012. Anna also served as the Managing Editor at Ansira from July 2017 to January 2021, and at CultureMap from May 2016 to July 2017. Prior to that, they were the Managing Editor of FD magazine at The Dallas Morning News from January 2015 to February 2016.

Anna has previous experience with American Airlines, where they held multiple roles. Anna was the Editor in Chief of Celebrated Living from April 2014 to January 2015 and Senior Editor of American Way from October 2009 to January 2015. Anna also served as an Associate Editor of American Way from November 2003 to 2009, and as an Assistant Editor of Celebrated Living and American Way from 2000 to 2003.

Their career started as a Communications Assistant at Grapevine-Colleyville ISD from September 1998 to October 2000.

Anna Fialho Byers attended Texas Christian University from 1994 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Literature.
