Ev Williams

Ev Williams is a prominent entrepreneur and industry leader known for founding and leading several influential technology companies. Currently serving as Chairman and CEO of Medium since July 2012, Williams co-founded Obvious Ventures in January 2014. Previous roles include CEO of Twitter from April 2007 to January 2019, where Ev also served on the Board, and CEO of The Obvious Corporation from March 2011 to July 2012. Williams was CEO of Odeo Inc., a podcasting company, from January 2005 to October 2006, and had a significant role at Google as Program Manager for Blogger from February 2003 to October 2004, where management of the Blogger group was a primary responsibility. Prior to that, Williams co-founded and served as CEO of Pyra Labs, the original company behind Blogger, from January 1999 to February 2003. Early career experience includes a position as Marketing Coordinator at O'Reilly Media in 1997. Williams pursued studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln between 1990 and 1991.
