Dr. Tanja Upatel

Dr. Tanja Upatel has extensive work experience as a clinical psychologist. Dr. Tanja'smost recent role was as the Chief Psychologist at Medius Kliniken since November 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Clinical Psychologist at Emirates from January 2019 to May 2020. Dr. Tanja also served as a Lecturer at the Bielefelder Institut für Psychologische Psychotherapieausbildung from March 2008 to January 2019. Dr. Upatel has worked in various clinical settings, including at the German Neuroscience Center in Dubai from May 2015 to December 2018, as well as in their own private practices at Neurologie am Zoo from March 2012 to August 2013 and at advitam Gesundheitszentrum from April 2009 to February 2011. Dr. Tanja also held positions as a clinical psychologist at the University Duisburg-Essen from September 2004 to August 2007, the Christoph-Dornier-Stiftung from September 2004 to August 2007, and the International Psychological Service in Hong Kong from August 2007 to December 2008. Additionally, they briefly served as the interim therapeutic head of an outpatient clinic at Bielefeld University from January 2009 to March 2009. Dr. Upatel has experience in a wide range of therapies and has worked with clients with various psychological disorders.

Dr. Tanja Upatel has a strong educational background in psychology. Dr. Tanja completed their Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Münster in 1999. Concurrently, they pursued a Clinical Psychologist certification at the Institute for "Psychologische Psychotherapieausbildung" (IPP) from 1999 to 2003. Dr. Upatel furthered their studies at the University of Münster, where they earned their Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2002. Overall, their education has equipped their with a comprehensive understanding of psychology, particularly in the field of clinical psychology.
