Jessica Rivas

Jessica Rivas has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jessica began their career as a Customer Service Representative at Blue Shield of California, where they provided customer service to BS65+ members, educated senior members on their benefits, and provided status updates on claims to providers.

Jessica then worked as a Client Support Representative at QuadraMed, delivering optimal client help desk and technical assistance for software set-up, installations, and system integration. Additionally, they collaborated with the QA department to efficiently report client issues.

Next, Jessica joined OAO Healthcare Solutions as a Manager of Quality Assurance, mentored and managed a development team, and ensured that program tasks met cost and schedule commitments. Jessica led the development and quality assurance for three product lines.

Following that, they worked at MZI HealthCare/EZ-CAP as a Manager of Client Services & Training, where they strategically steered daily operations, policy compliance, staff training, financial operations, and support group management. Jessica successfully managed numerous new clients' software and service implementations.

Currently, Jessica holds multiple roles at MedPOINT Management. Jessica is the Director of Health Information Technology, responsible for leading initiatives and actively participating in process improvement meetings. Jessica is also the Manager of Health Services & Informatics, overseeing a variety of teams. Previously, they served as the Manager of Information Technology, where they capitalized on opportunities to lead forward-thinking initiatives and collaborated with management to develop strategies through technology.

Throughout their career, Jessica demonstrated strong leadership abilities and played integral roles in project management, staff development, and process improvement.

Jessica Rivas has a diverse education history. In 2013, they enrolled at UCLA Extension and obtained a Health Care Management and Leadership Certificate, focusing on Health/Health Care Administration/Management. Jessica continued their studies at UCLA Extension and completed the Technical Management Program in December 2018.

Starting from 2001 to 2003, Jessica attended Pierce College, majoring in IT/Healthcare, although they did not obtain a degree during that time.

In 2017, they pursued the Certified Scrum Master certification through the Scrum Alliance, expanding their knowledge in A Management Framework. Continuing their education, Jessica enrolled at Arizona State University in 2019, studying Organizational Leadership, specializing in Organizational Leadership.

In terms of additional certifications, they acquired the Certified Scrum Master designation from the Scrum Alliance in March 2017. Jessica also completed the Health Care Management and Leadership program at UCLA Extension in an undisclosed month of 2013. Additionally, Jessica obtained the Technical Management Program certification from UCLA Extension in May 2019 and another one in the same program in December 2018. Lastly, they obtained the Governance, Women's Leadership certification from UCLA Anderson School of Management in June 2019.
