Debra Schindler, MS, serves as the Regional Director of Media and Public Relations at MedStar Health, a position held since March 2005, where management of $30 million annually in external media initiatives is a key responsibility. In addition to overseeing media relations, Debra is involved in producing and directing large-scale livestream events and creating system podcasts. Previous roles include Media Relations Manager and Media Relations Specialist at WMAR-TV, as well as Investigative Producer and Weekend Assignment Manager. Early career experience encompasses positions as a Reporter Producer for America's Most Wanted and a PCO at the Harford County Sheriff's Office, along with being a Reporter for Press Republican Newspaper. Debra holds a Master of Science in Strategic Communications from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications, Journalism, Sociology, and Criminal Justice from Towson University, complemented by ongoing education at the Poynter Institute.
