Steve Howell is an experienced financial leader with a strong background in the healthcare sector. Currently serving as the Interim Vice President Treasurer at MedStar Health since July 2025, Steve previously held the role of Chief Financial Officer at DHR Health from December 2023 to April 2025. Prior to that, Steve was CFO for the Ochsner Baton Rouge/Lake Charles Region between July 2022 and December 2023. From August 2010 to August 2022, Steve owned Howell Analytics, LLC, which provided specialized analyses and consulting services to healthcare and small/mid-sized companies. Additionally, from November 2015 to July 2022, Steve directed finance and treasury functions as Vice President of Finance and Assistant Treasurer at Northern Light Health, overseeing a $1.7 billion system. Steve holds a BS in Accounting and an MS in Finance from Louisiana State University.
