Thomas Cestare

Thomas Cestare is an interventional pain medicine physician and anesthesiologist employed by MedStar Health since August 2020, with outpatient offices located at MedStar Health Brandywine and MedStar Health Mitchellville. In addition, Thomas serves as an Assistant Professor and Instructor in the Department of Anesthesiology at Georgetown University Medical Center. Prior experience includes a Clinical Fellow in Pain Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and a postdoctoral clinical fellowship in the Department of Anesthesiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Thomas completed residency training in anesthesiology and served as an intern physician in internal medicine at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital from June 2015 to June 2019. A background in education includes a role as a Gross Anatomy Teaching Assistant at Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health Studies. Thomas holds a Doctor of Medicine from Georgetown University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Evolutionary Anthropology from Duke University.
