Pete Scherer

Pete Scherer has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Pete began their career in 1976 at Multigraphics, where they worked as an Associate Engineer, responsible for managing AutoCAD workstations and equipment, as well as contributing to decision-making processes for new equipment and software purchases. Pete later moved to Amerace Electronics in 1993, where they took on the role of Designer/Drafter. In addition to managing AutoCAD workstations and equipment, they were also involved in Novell LAN administration and troubleshooting.

In 1995, Pete joined MedTel Services, LLC (formerly Teltronics, Inc.) as a Senior Network Administrator. In this role, they designed, deployed, and administered local and wide area networks across multiple office locations. Pete used Cisco-based IOS on Cisco and Adtran routers and handled internet connections using fiber optic connections with Cisco ASA500 and Cisco PIX Firewalls.

Pete joined Trinity Services Group in 2013 as a Systems Engineer. Pete played a key role in operational planning and project management for the Data Center, as well as making recommendations on the allocation of IT resources. Pete engineered and troubleshooted Windows 2008/2012 domains with Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP. Pete also engineered and managed helpdesk systems using Grouplink eHelpdesk and Service Aide.

In 2018, Pete took up a position at Medtel Communications as an IT Manager. Their current focus is on ERP migration, specifically moving the company from Infor BPCS to Infor CSI.

Pete Scherer attended New Horizons in 2009, where they studied Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010. Pete did not obtain a degree from this institution. Additionally, Pete Scherer pursued Mechanical Design at Harper College, with no specified start or end years.

Pete Scherer also obtained certifications in the field of information technology. In November 2016, they received the CompTIA A+ ce certification from CompTIA. In December 2016, they obtained the CompTIA Network+ ce certification, also from CompTIA.
