Darren Abbey

Darren Abbey, PhD, currently serves as the Clinical Certifying Scientist Team Lead at Medtox Laboratories, a position held since June 2015, where responsibilities include certifying results from a comprehensive 180 drug test panel utilizing high pressure liquid chromatography. Prior to this role, Darren Abbey was a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota from August 2009 to January 2015, contributing to various research projects and publications. Earlier experience includes advancing from Lab Technician to Senior Lab Technologist at ViroMed Laboratories, a LabCorp subsidiary, from August 2003 to August 2009. Darren Abbey earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Computational Biology from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin.
