Ha Hong

Ha Hong is currently serving as the Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer for Endoscopy at Medtronic, a position held since April 2023. Previously, Ha was the Chief Architect and a founding team member at Caption Health from June 2015 to March 2023, where notable achievements included inventing the first FDA-cleared AI-powered cardiac ultrasound guidance system, overseeing its full development process, and coordinating cross-functional innovation strategies. Ha's academic background includes a PhD in Neuroscience from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where research contributions involved developing frameworks linking retinal images to neural activities, along with significant AI model implementations. Additional experiences encompass roles as a Research Consultant at Harvard Medical School, a Visiting Research Student at the University of Cambridge, and Chief Software Engineer at Seoul C&J, focusing on advanced imaging and radiation treatment technologies.
