Sarah Nieters

Sarah Nieters has over 25 years of experience in information technology and strategic leadership, primarily at Medtronic since July 1997. Currently serving as VP Strategy in the Office of the CIO and IT Strategic Program Office, Sarah is also the CIO for Medtronic's $16.8 billion Americas region and the $7 billion Restorative Therapies Group, where responsibility includes aligning IT strategy with business objectives and enhancing organizational value through IT capabilities. Prior roles encompass global oversight in IT enterprise infrastructure, operations, and governance, as well as leading various IT process teams across clinical, regulatory, and HR functions. Before Medtronic, Sarah gained experience at EDS Group and Applicon. Sarah holds an MBA in Management Information Systems and Finance from the University of Michigan and a BS in Computer Science from Michigan State University.
