Thomas Carpenter

Thomas Carpenter is a seasoned professional in UX and Human Factors Engineering with extensive experience across multiple industries. Currently serving as a Manager of UX & Human Factors Engineering at Medtronic since September 2024, Thomas previously held various managerial roles at John Deere, where leadership of a 13-member research team and oversight of a 32-member global UX team contributed to significant advancements in product line support and organizational metrics integration. Prior roles include User Experience Specialist V at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics, and a series of positions at Lockheed Martin focusing on human factors design and usability testing, alongside experience as a Graduate Research/Teaching Assistant at Clemson University. Thomas holds a Master of Science in Applied Psychology from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Factors Psychology from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
